Captain Tom Morrell has extensive experience fishing on Lake Michigan. He specializes in King Salmon, Lake Trout, Brown Trout, Steelhead and Coho. From age 8 he accompanied seasoned charter veterans, learning the ropes, cleaning guest's catches, and seeing to it each guest has a great time. Captain Morrell continued his education when he started charter guiding at the age of 12. While he needed a stepping stool to see over the wheel he excelled in the art of "finding the fish". Earning his Captains license at 18, he was able to take out larger vessels, more guests, and was able to increase their success by covering more water. He has successfully learned how to find fish in conditions ranging from extreme cold to extreme hot. Because of his skills and determination guests will not be dissapointed with Captain Morrell and Sandpiper Charters.

Our Boat
Our boat offers a spacious deck which allows plenty of room for fighting and netting your fish. It has comfortable, cushioned deck chairs and plenty of seating under its hard top when you wish to avoid the elements. We take pride in our equipment and make sure it is in top condition. The boat and equipment are always kept clean. The flying bridge offers great visibility for viewing or video taping the action. Our state-of-the-art electronics include GPS, video- graph fish locator, LORAN, radar, and marine band radio.
